I don't update my journal really often but this time I feel really disturbed by a fact happened some days ago at my DA group, Digital-Gems.
While browsing the submission, I found that a deviants asked some explanation for a photomanip he submitted and my staff doesn't approve. It's ok, it's quite normal in groups asking for explanations when your piece gets refused.
So, even if I hadn't judged the artwork before, I found quite easily telling HIM what was wrong with the photomanipulation. There were problems with colours, images blending, light, shadows... some classical error for a classic fantasy photomanip image.
Can you guess what did he answered me? That we don't understand anything in art... and he leaves the group.

WHAT? It seems this person couldn't accept a critique. ART is everything he produces... that's great. Good for you, man.

So, since I'm a bit curious, I visited his DA gallery, and discovered his page is full of positive comments.... ok. I browsed his gallery and found the piece he submitted... there were only six positive comments, and no more. Then I decided to prove my theory, and leave a comment below the image telling him what are the problems with his photomanip and his errors.

Today I've reached his page again and found a fantastic message for me: "DEVIOUSLY DENIED!" "We're sorry, but you cannot post a comment here. "

OMG. He Blocked me because I've wrote a constructive but negative critique about his artwork. Man are you serious?
Do you really feel a "Artist | Professional | Digital Art"  as you wrote on your profile? It's too easy to show you get only compliments on your profile, since you hid all the negatives comments and block people who try to help you becoming a better artist?

I will not write his name because I don't want to make it a DArama. And I don't want give him more pageviews, so that I could believe in anyway that he's doing well this way.

IS THIS A REAL ARTIST?
Please tell me our opinion because this never happened to me and it's really disturbing and frustrating!

To be tolerant, for me, it doesn't mean to accept those people, or those ideas, that are similar to us. But rather those people who are diverse or different. But if a person shows him intolerant it isn't a my problem but his. So then, until when all remain within the limits of the civil cohabitation, because I should worry of him?
Live and let live too.
